Carol Lombardi and Kari Economu – Co-Treasures

Karen Tasker – Secretary

Members present: 12 members, plus administrators (David Foster, Anne Ellis, Katelyn Beech, Ali Gamache)

Meeting was called to order at 6:11 by Erin Anderson.

Erin introduced new officers.

The budget was discussed.  Members were presented with proposed and last year’s budgets; floor was opened for questions regarding budgets.

Blayne Matty brought forth a motion to accept the proposed budget; Keersten Harrington seconded it.  Membership approved budget.

Ashley introduced the vice principals who told the group more about themselves and their roles.

Ashley talked about the following volunteer positions and who holds them:

-  Keersten Harrington is website coordinator.

-   Meagan Dunn will be membership coordination.

-  Cathy Wyeth is arranging the box tops.

-  Looking for someone to take over soup labels (can perform this at home on the computer).

The upcoming fundraisers, including the Barnes and Noble Book Fair and Yankee Candle, were discussed.

Erin and Ashley asked if anyone has ideas for new fundraisers. Blayne mentioned the wreath company has 4 other fundraising opportunities (seeds, bulbs, etc.).  A member brought up an orange selling company to see if there is an interest in those.  Someone else mentioned Blitz Air Park or restaurants as a potential fundraiser.  Blayne brought up potentially expanding Kids Club to 4th and 5th graders.  If people came up with other ideas, they could put those ideas into an envelope labeled PTA and send it in with their child’s folder.

Ashley asked if members have ideas about give back opportunities.  A member mentioned perhaps showing an anti-bullying movie called Reject.  Carol asked if we would be doing ArtWorks.  Erin and Ashley mentioned they’re looking into it.  There may be a better, easier to implement program.

Meeting ended at 6:36.
